Short Sermon: The Danger of Entitlement – Bishop T.D. Jakes

Some people feel life owes them something.

They expect promotions, blessings, or recognition without effort or faithfulness.

That sense of entitlement can quietly destroy your spiritual growth.

Bishop T.D. Jakes warns that entitlement leads to pride, impatience, and disappointment.

When we believe God owes us favor, we forget gratitude and obedience.

The Bible reminds us in Galatians 6:7:

“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.”

Entitlement convinces us to demand results without sowing seeds of faith, service, or diligence.

True blessing comes through humble submission and consistent obedience.

Psalm 84:11 says:

“No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.”

Focus on walking faithfully, serving diligently, and trusting God’s timing.

Blessings follow obedience, not attitude.

💬 Reflection Question: Are you expecting God to give you what you haven’t faithfully worked for, or are you willing to serve and sow first?
