Short Sermon: Trusting God’s Timing — Lessons from Joel Osteen
One of the hardest lessons in life is learning to wait. We pray, we believe, yet things don’t move as fast as we expect. Joel Osteen often reminds us that delay is not denial — it is God preparing the right moment.
The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 3:11, “He has made everything beautiful in its time.” Not in our time. Not when we feel ready. But in His perfect time. When we rush God, we can miss what He is developing in us during the waiting season.
Many times, God is not withholding the blessing — He is strengthening our character, growing our faith, and aligning circumstances we cannot see. Habakkuk 2:3 tells us, “Though the vision tarries, wait for it; it will surely come.”
Waiting is not wasted time. It is training time. Trusting God’s timing means choosing peace over panic, faith over frustration, and hope over doubt. What God promised will come to pass — right on schedule.
Reflection:
What if the delay you are facing is God’s way of protecting you and preparing you?
Sometimes the greatest faith is not in asking God to hurry — but in trusting Him enough to wait.
